We are taking our first steps into the world of self-publishing. Ridley's Cookbook: Recipes for Food and Architecture, charts the process of building and running a temporary restaurant on Ridley Road Market. The book includes the recipes cooked by the many chefs (25 in total) that took part in the project. Alongside these food recipes we have also compiled a ‘recipe’ for temporary architecture; a step-by-step guide to what was involved in building Ridley's. The book therefore works as a manual for setting up your own temporary restaurant.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED AT COTTRELL HOUSE

The transformation of Cottrell House in Wembley into a new community enterprise space has began!
We are working to open Cottrell House in the middle of April but before we open we really need your help. We are looking for volunteers to come on site and help us with painting, lighting and furniture making. Come along and help out for as little as a morning or a full day if you can.
Sign up to volunteer by emailing xavier@the-decorators.net and letting him know what day you are available.
We will provide all the equipment. Come with old clothes, proper footwear, and enough energy to get things done.

Do you want to start a new business, are you looking for studio space, do you want to
run a cafe in Wembley? A new community enterprise hub is coming your way soon.
The Coming Soon Club have taken on another meanwhile lease in Wembley - Cottrell
House. At Cottrell House we are building a cafe, small retail spaces, studios and an
events space for use by the members of the Coming Soon Club. The aim is to
provide a shared co-working space where members can base their projects, ideas and
businesses for up to a year. We are working to refurbish and fit out the space. Come
along to a workshop to find out more about Cottrell House and tell us your ideas on
how you would like to use the space.
